Counted across every Dark Horse league that has drafted, from completed transactions only - a waiver claim that lost is somebody who wanted a player, not somebody who got one. The number is how many LEAGUES picked a player up, not how many times: a manager who adds and drops the same player twice is one league that wanted him, and counting the moves would let one person look like a trend. Waiver claims and free agent pickups count the same, because both are somebody deciding they want that player; what separates them is whether money changed hands, and the bids have their own board. This is the field you actually play in - the Trending page next door is all of Sleeper, which is a different question.
